Meet Ashley
Ashley has been an expert nutritionist and well-being coach for over six years. She gained her knowledge from Chico State University in California, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Communication, where she discovered a passion for intuitive eating and health at every size. From her own experiences with disordered eating and the number of other individuals in her personal life struggling with food habits, she then realized most people are disconnected from food and their bodies. Ashley has worked 1:1 with individuals struggling with eating disorders and body image. She’s supported and guided them in finding peace with food, respecting their body, and food recovery. Within her career, she led body image and nutrition workshops and supported in food exposure therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Ashley works at Cedars-Sinai Medical Hospital in Los Angeles, California, in clinical nutrition and outpatient nutrition counseling. She is exposed to multiple medical diagnoses that require specialized therapeutic diets such as renal, diabetic, and cardiac diets. Ashley continues to challenge and grow her knowledge in nutrition to provide optimal care and services to her clientele for those in critical need of behavior change.
She is described as a compassionate, approachable, gentle and empathetic nutritionist who meets clients where they are on their path to food recovery, giving them the space to be comfortable, safe, and validated in processing their relationship with food. Her nutrition interests include gut health, mental health, mindful eating, cultural foods, pre and post-pregnancy nutrition, and nutrition for prevention and longevity. In Ashley’s leisure time, she enjoys a plethora of activities. These activities include traveling, concerts, cooking, gardening, yoga and meditation, hiking and cycling, reading and learning, and spending quality time with close friends and family.
